Decks and finish carpentry in Nashua, New Hampshire

Twenty years of carpentry behind every job, and a crew that would rather build it right the first time than come back and explain it. New decks, trim, doors and the trades around them.

What we build

From the back steps to the last piece of trim

Most of what we do happens on the same house, in this order. Start where your project starts.

01 Out back

The deck is where the season happens

In New Hampshire you get a handful of good months, and the deck is where you spend them. We build new decks, rebuild the ones that have gone soft, and set railings that still feel solid in year ten.

02 Up top

The roof is what the weather tests first

Tear-offs and new asphalt roofs, flashed at every valley, wall and chimney so the water has nowhere to sit. Ventilation gets planned with it, because a roof that cannot breathe gives out from the inside long before the shingles wear.

03 The walls

Siding is a water system, not a color

Vinyl, fiber cement and wood. What decides whether the wall stays dry is the part nobody prices: the corners, the window heads, the way the trim meets the roof line. That is where a siding job is won or lost.

04 The frame

Square now, or crooked forever

Framing is the only stage nobody sees and everybody feels. A wall out of plumb here becomes a door that sticks, a floor that squeaks and trim that never quite closes. Additions and new builds start here, cut to the line.

05 The finish

The part you touch every single day

Doors, windows, casing, base, handrails and cabinets. This is the work Excellence Construction Pro was built around, and it is the stage where a job stops looking like a job site and starts looking like your house.

06 Underfoot

The floor tells on the work below it

Hardwood, engineered and laminate. Squeaks come from underneath, so the subfloor gets screwed down and flattened before the first plank goes in. Skip that step and you hear about it for as long as you own the house.

07 Last coat

Paint is how a job gets closed out

Interior and exterior painting as the last stage of the carpentry we are already doing, in house or with a trade partner we have worked with before. Either way the site gets cleaned and we walk the punch list with you before we leave.

Who shows up

One company from the estimate to the last coat

20 years of carpentry stand behind Excellence Construction Pro, and the same crew carries a job the whole way through. When something needs a decision on site, you talk to the people who are going to build it, not to a call center that will pass it along.

Seven trades under one roof, which is the whole reason the schedule holds: nobody is waiting on a subcontractor who never showed.

  • Outside the house

    Decks, roofs, siding, framing

    04 of the
    seven

Everything the weather gets to first. It is also the work with the shortest season in New Hampshire, so it books earliest.

  • Inside the house

    Trim, floors and paint

    03 of the
    seven

Doors, windows, casing, base, handrails and cabinets, then the floor and the paint. The stage where a job stops looking like a job site.

Why finish carpentry is the whole point

Nobody notices a wall that is plumb. Everybody notices the door that sticks, the gap over the baseboard and the railing that moves.

That is the part of the job we are built around, and it is the part the cheap number always leaves for later.

How it goes

Three steps, no surprises

  1. 01

You tell us what you have in mind

A text with a couple of photos is enough to start. We will tell you what we think before you commit to anything.

  2. 02

We come measure and price it

We walk the job with you, take the measurements and put a written number together. No charge either way, and nothing starts before you have it.

  3. 03

We build it and keep you posted

You hear from us on the days you are not there to see it. When we are done we walk the finished work with you before we pack up.

FAQ

Questions we get in Nashua

How much does a new deck cost?

It depends on size, height off the ground, materials and whether there are stairs or railings involved, so we do not quote before we see it. We come out, measure, talk through the material options and hand you a written number. The visit and the estimate are free.

How far out are you booking?

Call or text and we will tell you honestly where the calendar stands that week. New Hampshire has a short outdoor season, so decks and exterior work fill in first and interior finish carpentry stays open longer.

Do you handle the whole job or just the carpentry?

Both. Carpentry is what we do ourselves, from framing through the final piece of trim. For complementary trades like painting we work with people we have used before and we tell you upfront which part of the job is ours and which part is theirs.

Can you look at it without coming out?

Send photos to (603) 921-2266 and we can usually tell you whether it is a repair or a rebuild, and roughly what we would be looking at, before anyone schedules anything. For a real number we still come measure.

Are you insured?

Yes. Excellence Construction Pro is a registered New Hampshire corporation and carries insurance. Ask us for the certificate any time and we will send it over.

Which towns around Nashua do you cover?

We work across New England, and most weeks that means southern New Hampshire: Nashua, Litchfield, Merrimack, Bedford, Milford, Amherst, Manchester, Hooksett and the towns between them, up through Concord and the Lakes Region. If yours is not on the list, ask anyway.

Free estimate

Tell us what you are building

Two short steps. Estimates are handled by the people who run the job, so you are talking to the company from the first message, not a call center.

  • We come out, measure and walk the job with you.
  • You get the number before anyone touches anything.
  • No charge for the visit or the estimate.

In a hurry? Call (603) 810-8442, or text a photo of the space to (603) 921-2266 and we can start there.
